I thought I would just take a few moments to tell you about what I’m doing tomorrow. Very early tomorrow morning I will be leaving home and heading into Greenwich, as at 10am I will be amongst 35,000 other runners who are starting the London Marathon. I am raising money for the charity Sense, the deafblind charity and you can donate very easily by visiting

Or even your support, cheering me on the street or from the comfort of your own home by watching it on TV would mean a lot too
OK, I’ve struggled to link this to chemistry in any novel way as all I can think about at the moment is carbohydrates! But, I’ll put a post marathon post on the structure of glucose and carbohydrates sometime next week
Here’s hoping the knees hold out! 🙂
